Argentina shines over Mexico
Argentina defeated Mexico 4-1 on Wednesday night (June 4) thanks to Lionel Messi’s magic. The Argentine team, ranked No. 1 in the world, scored four goals while the adversary managed to convert only one goal at the Qualcomm Stadium. Nicolas Burdisso marked the first goal and the other three were scored by Messi, Sergio Aguero and Maxi Rodriguez, who kicked the last onel. Antonio "Zinha" Naelson marked for Mexico. Both teams are gearing up for the 2010 tournament in South Africa, and Argentine’s coach Alfio Basile has firmly stated his wishes, "Argentina's target is to win the World Cup, that's the end of the matter," he told the press. "Argentina has amazing prestige, the team is admired all around the world and that makes us very proud. But we want to win the World Cup," he added.
